SECRETLY AWESOME

Highlighting America’s Small Businesses

America’s small businesses are the backbones of our communities, and ABC Localish’s "Secretly Awesome" takes you behind the scenes to discover the hidden gems that make our neighborhoods unique. From family-run shops to innovative startups, this inspiring show celebrates entrepreneurs whose passion and creativity bring vibrancy to everyday life.

During the pre-production process, I conducted thorough research to identify compelling stories and locations, produced detailed shooting schedules, and coordinated logistics with our teams across the country. I also managed bookings, interfaced with clients and sponsors to ensure all necessary approvals, and secured filming permits to ensure smooth operations on set.

In post-production, I meticulously wrote engaging copy, edited social videos to highlight key moments, and sourced additional content to enhance storytelling. I also managed the social media distribution process, ensuring each post included the correct tags, handshake deals, and sponsor-approved copy to maximize reach and engagement.

VIRAL VIDEO POWER: HOW LUFFAS ARE MADE

After being highlighted in a "Secretly Awesome" episode, a small luffa farm near Fresno, California, saw its business skyrocket. Orders poured in from all over the country, turning the struggling farm into a booming enterprise. This incredible success story shows how powerful media can be, not just in sharing compelling stories, but in changing the lives and fortunes of small business owners.
